Hard Ink

July 29, 2008

We are nearing the end of the nearly two month long look at promotional pens, having learned a great deal about the different types of promotional pens, why people use them and to what extent they are implemented in the lives of anyone with something to write. We all know the popularity promotional ballpoint pens enjoy, but what about their counterparts? Promotional rollerball pens are in a totally different class when it comes to accessories with which to write. I have to be honest, these promotional pens are for some people and definitely not for others. Those who enjoy pressing down hard on whatever they are writing tend to enjoy the qualities rollerball pens afford. The ink in these promotional products seems a little thicker, therefore more legible and permanent once it has been transcribed. For writers who are left-handed, enjoy the less bulky types of promotional pens and generally enjoy when pens do not smear ink all over the place, promotional rollerball pens pale in comparison to ballpoints or fountain pens. But considering approximately 85 to 90 percent of the world population is right-handed, the popularity of rollerball pens will not soon be in decline. While left-handed people like myself will continue to shy away from these promotional items, the hard pressing attributes of promotional rollerball pens will continue to make conspicuous, easy to read marks for everyone.
